“Survive to '25- that’s 2025!” That could be the most important
lesson from today’s podcast.
In the beginning of 2022, many apartment investors were geared up
to be very aggressive in buying buildings. Low rates, plenty of
capital (debt & equity), & great inventory to buy. Then…At the end
of the first quarter…. BOOM. The industry slowed down. I mean
stopped. Inflation. Higher Interest Rates. Slowing economy. Rising
Cap Rates. Less Sellers. Less Buyers. Equity was difficult to
raise. Larger down payments were required. A complete 180 from
January. WOW!
Today…beginning of 2023; What should you do? Stay invested? Buy
more? What are the challenges, and the opportunities investors are
